Nurses, Thank you for all you do!

THANK YOU DEAR NURSES. We appreciate you and are grateful for your courage and care. Your service is remarkable and a blessing to communities all over the world.

I reached out to two of my favorite nurses today. One who loved and cared for my mom before she passed and another who is my neighbor who is brave enough to care for those struggling at this time at the hospital. I have deep gratitude for both. Thank you.

Send your love to the nurses in your life.

A nurse to remember... At the end of the 19th century, “The Lady With the Lamp”— or as she is more widely known, Florence Nightingale — founded modern nursing. Thanks to her strict use of hand-washing and hygiene practices while caring for wounded soldiers in the Crimean War, Nightingale and her helpers reduced the death rate from 42% to 2% — ushering in nursing as we know it today. On May 6, we recognize the important role nurses play in our lives by celebrating National Nurses Day. nationaltoday.com#nationalnursesday2020
